Dr. Amy Tran aims to help every patient achieve their optimal dental health through
compassion, technology, and evidence-based dentistry.
Dr. Tran completed her undergraduate degree in Biochemistry at the University of
Colorado Boulder, initially pursuing a career in both chemical and clinical research to
develop therapies aimed at combatting HIV and Type 1 diabetes. After years at the
research bench, Dr. Tran realized she wanted to aid in the active treatment of patients
and earned her DDS degree at the University of Colorado Anschutz School of Dental
Medicine. It was there that Dr. Tran was introduced to treatment of patients with
developmental, intellectual, and physical disabilities as well as patients with medically
complex histories. In pursuit of treating patients indiscriminately, Dr. Tran completed a
general practice residency in New York at the University of Rochester and Strong
Memorial Hospital, where she had the privilege to provide comprehensive care to
patients in underserved communities as well as in the hospital setting where she
worked closely with oral surgery and medical teams.
Dr. Tran believes in treating patients as a whole, where oral health is a part of achieving
overall wellness. From treating patients in the dental chair to a hospital OR, Dr. Tran
aims to treat each patient competently and compassionately with the support of
research-based practices and modern technology.
When not practicing dentistry, Dr. Tran enjoys balancing creativity and physical activity
through piano, martial arts, swimming, and hiking.
